I have a momentary switch that allows me to activate the boost anytime I want but I usually just run with it open cause it's so much fun. It seems to affect pulling power, throttle response is way faster too. The idle tends to be a little ragged but I like it that way....sort of a pro-mod or funny car sound.

Stage 7, kerker 4/1 and no vboost. I love it and it pulls very hard. Very easy to sync with the Weber delorto sync tool

I have mine unplugged. You lose a bit at WOT.

How is your intake/carb/exhaust set up? And how well does it pull from down low (below 3k)

Mine is setup on a manual switch since I don't have a working controller. I leave it open 99% of the time. Bike idles rougher than the stock setup. Its a little jerky at very low speeds and RPM like when riding thru a congested parking lot or in bumper to bumper traffic. This typically occurs at less than 20 mph, 1K-2K rpm range. Other than that pulls fine. Gotta be a little more careful with the throttle. It seems to want to jump to life with very little input.

If I had your setup, I'd probably just leave it stock but, that is just my opinon. As noted, you can unplug the servo in the open position and see which you like better.

Yeah, WOT recovers when Vboost is opening and main jet is 100%.

With modified carbs and other engines mods, it can pull harder with Vboost always opened, like with Dynojet Stage7.

With stock carbs an engine, it pulls harder with vboost closed till 6k.

Don't trust yours ears or buttometer, look at curves...

I run with the vboost open , I have stage 7 jet kit, flow tested port polish / shaved heads cams re-grounded.

Mines opened and unplugged, 165 main jets, dynojet needle. As recommended by UFO.
It revs much faster than with vboost opening at 6k.
I'm using UFO headers and mufflers., works well.

My controller was acting up, so I'm running unplugged and open all the time and liking it. I had an issue mid range from 3k to 7k that I know is better now due to the open boost and minor needle shim change, but will dyno again. And, dyno operators won't be over reving my ride anymore, thanks to the Ignatech rev limiter. The idle and off idle is getting some attention in a few minutes with a slight change in A/F adjustment. A slight lag at 1800-2000 rpm's isn't something I'd spend much time on and can easily live with. When I get the Weber sync tool I'm putting the stage seven tubes in for a trial. Mileage is still very good and it's as fun to ride as the day I got her. Don't bother running the v-boost open with stock exhaust/jetting, it'll be a down grade. imho.

Only downside I noticed with open all the time was a very slight lag or throttle response loss at very low idle, off idle throttle openings.
No big deal, that's what the clutch and a lower gear is for. Performance below 3000 rpm means nothing to me on these bikes.
