I saw 4 yesterday. Three riding with the guys, then a lone midget on my way home. Quick hits on the Vmax horn seem to make them stop and their ears perk up. Once they're running is another thing. Try it.
that's a beauty radley, maybe one for the record book.
Thanks tothemax93!
I named him UNO (I name my deer after I harvest them, and name them fitting to the situation etc., also I dont have cameras up to find them first...) because of his right eye... looks like he lost it in a fight last year.
To my credit, I shot him from his good eye side though!
Anyways, in total inches, definitely my best. BUT he is non-typical due to his injury last year... Look how his right antler is non-typical (6 points) and his left is typical (4)... his left brow tine is much taller too... it's amazing how they compensate for this or that when injured, and on UNO, it is obvious why.. pretty neat. He will score less than my typical 10 I got last year due to this injury...
Not doing too bad for my 2nd year. Thanks again! I love this pic too, gonna have to get a nice frame and put it up under his European mount I'm working on.
Season is over..... now time for coyotes, rabbits, squirrels and trees.
Here's my prize for the year.... found him early, Oct 7. He's NOT the one that made that huge rub.. I'll be scouting for that guy in the off season.
Season went ok... sat over a lot of deer, mostly yearling does. Missed my last shot for the year on a yearling doe, trying to fill my tag for antlerless. It came down to the last few minutes Saturday night.....arm shaking from holding the bow back for too long.....waiting....for.....her.....to.....step.....out..... BAM!
Clean miss! 25 yds...pathetic! HAHA. lesson learned!
Nice one man! Given the scars on the one you bagged, I suspect he's had a run or two with the buck that made that rub.
