As some of you know , I work for an aftermarket motorcycle accessory company. The other day they put up a notice stating that we were having a VIP,and asked that we show our "spirit"by wearing shirts with the company logo.(mind you theirs been NO RAISES for three years)
So with that in mind When I got dressed that morning, I was sure to show MY SPIRIT, I WORE A VMAX t-shirt:clapping:and when the VIP came through I made sure he saw it!.

(maybe some day I'll have my own VIP guest's.)

Hate that 'team spirit' ****!! You don't demand respect....you earn respect!!

Engineering company I worked for held their managers meetings on saturdays (for obvious reasons)...I'm sitting there with my shirt & tie on with 30 - 35 other well dressed managers when the boss passes out these cheap-*** red baseball caps with "Team Player" printed on the front. I look around at all these folks sitting there with those ridiculous hats on and thought...."I gotta get the **** outta here!" Laid the hat on the desk and walked out, went back to the office, wrote up my resignation and went home!

I started my own business and never looked back!

Awesome! If it was me I'd be like "Where's my raise *****....".

only thing missing rick is a burnout hahahah
Ro, trust me, theres plenty of burn outs there!

Dan , I can picture that clear as day! Ive been in union negotations and just shook my head in amazement at the disconnection between US and THEM!And I have a hard time hearing someone with their head up their ***.

On the pluse side the VIP looked like he may have been one of US, jeans and a RSD tee shirt.

The company I used to work for did an article about me being a biker in their intenational rag. All the VIP's after that came to my office and wanted to talk bikes. It really pissed my bosses off bad. :rofl_200:

I hate that VIP ****, as a nurse we get that all the time, well, not so much any more becasue the supervisor came to me and said the admit i was getting was a "VIP", I said "Ok, put them next to the crack addict, because I'm going to treat them the same, all our patients are VIPS" last time it was ever mentioned to me. I constantly harass our CNO and what ever our other "big wig" person about different stuff, one takes it very well and harass back , the other avoids me at all costs. When it comes right down to it, you **** doesnt smell any better than mine. I made one of the execs sit through an in service on a new machine we had, i wouldn't let him leave, I had a good 100 lbs on him ;)

One good thing about working for yourself is not having to put up with anybody's ****...EXCEPT your customers...:bang head:...so I guess there's really no winner in this...:confused2:

Now , what was the point I was trying to make...:ummm:

An old man once told me that my day SHOULD start when I punch OUT! :biglaugh:he's right, and the way I have to look at it is even if Im punchin their time clock,Im still workin for ME!:clapping: I just hope that my little seat project takes off and Im forced to take a customers concerns instead of corporate BS.:hmmm:

three years no raise, the just hire a handfull of people and then put a few thousand dollars into the breakroom floor:bang head::th_biggun:

Same **** here Rick, 3 years no raise. Largest new solar array on a commercial building in MA. New building 2 mil over budget (to impress customers). When we sell a boat for a couple of mil. it's "we didn't make any money on that boat"I'm billing $125/hr 50 hrs a week as are 18 other people. No money being made ? When I punch out I don't look back or care.
