Vmax Color Question

Hi,

Just wondering if the 2005 red is the same as the 1988-89 red color.

I realize one is candy apple red and the other is shift red but I wasn't sure if they just changed the names to account for the flames.

I'm only interested in the rear fender so the flames won't matter.

The 05 is a lighter red Connor. The 20 TH Anniversary had to be special right?!
Yamaha sells only black bodywork but I bet a warehouse or shop out there has some factory colored body pieces on the shelf. It would take some work to find any though. That's why I didn't flinch when someone here had an absolutely complete 94 yellow NOS set on here for sale. Maybe $600 if I recall correctly. If one finds them, they should buy them!

I thought the '05 was fire red with a little bit of a lighter orangish tint to it. The 88-89 was a slightly deeper candy apple red. A noticeable difference if they were side by side. A good paint guy could figure out a good match I'm sure.

2010 is more like the 1995.looks close to me anyway.
