Heck with the B-king, get a Triumph!

I was meeting a guy to sell him a gun today and we agreed to "1/2 way" which was 23mile and Van Dyke. Well there just happen to be a Triumph dealer across the street. I stopped in and chatted- Mike you NEED a Rocket 3!!!

2294cc 165 ft lbs. torque

So I'm bullshitting about rolling burn outs and the guy says "then you get the Carpenter kit..."

Dude!

240 hp to turn over that 240mm rear tire!

All that with an upright riding position <BMFG>

Without the kit even the Gen 1 destroys it! Power is nothing if not in proportion to the weight ratio.

In the quarter, yes, in a rolling burn out (which mike always wanted to do <G>) no contest!

ANd the good news is it has a 6 gal gas tank!

A friend of mine has a Carpenter Rocket, it makes 239 HP. I don't know Carpenter personally but I know a good friend of his.....in fact he's in that picture in the article about the 8.99 run.

They did a hell of a job on the bike/engine. They almost doubled the factory HP. The price of the kit is not bad, combine that with a fairly inexpensive used Rocket and you've got one wild ride!

According to the guys at the shop, the stock rocket is limited to like 6000 rpm and the first 3 gears are limited to like 4500. Put a pipe and a chip and it and bump it up to like 9000 on the rev limiter, and it runs low 11s

Not that it matters, I don't think anyone on here would be buying one, but I mean 165 ft lbs. of torque?

Here is my buddies Rocket winning a dyno shootout.

The older gentleman in the video is Art, the guy I was talking about from the picture, he's good friends with Bob Carpenter.

Carpenter is one of the best in the business at building bike engines. And they are fairly affordable.

My regular riding buddy has a Carpenter built Gen 1 Busa that is a beast. it makes 218 HP on pump gas. I usually get him out of the hole.....but he's by me on my VMax before I'm out of 2nd gear. Very low 9 second bike with him on it.....would be in the 8's with a good jockey.

Mike, you should also look at the other packages Carpenter has... How about a 290 hp B King???
