Jedi... you and I need to put our skills together... too bad we are only 1/2 way around the world from each other! I looked into this a while back and it was almost impossible to get the good stainless used on rotors... 420 I believe. How are you going to surface grind them and heat treat them... Here is a picture of a rotor I saw go on eBay a while back and I was going to replicate it.... actually I can't find it, but it had the VMax logo cut in it 4 times around the rotor. The hardest part to make that I don't see in these rotors is the floating mechanisms.

Ah, I just had to re-read your original post. I see now it is for the rear. I don't know if it would make much difference to run a solid one on the front or not?? If so it would be cool to get one larger and then I could remake some adapters to fit the increased diameter. That's where we can really improve the braking power.
