Started her up! :eusa_dance:

Only long enough to make sure it idled, so that I know I haven't stuffed up the carbs, and that the COP's work. No funny noises or anything bad. :punk:

YAY!!! IT WORKS! :biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

Every step forward is treasured at the moment.
Great to see you getting closer to you putting your helmet on, getting some wind in your face, and having the sweet, sweet sound of a Vmax at the disposal of your right wrist!

I took my bike for the first ride after the stage 7 got installed. Its a new ball game out of the hole. And mid range pull's alot harder now. I cant wait for spring. Thank you so much DAMON.:punk:

Installed new (to me) sissy bar and fitted MEK luggage rack to it.

Took some massaging of the parts but I think it turned out pretty well. All it needs now is a fresh coat of black PC.

I got my new instrument panel cover today, the lens on the original were crazed. The n. ew one is really nice but a little different. The indicator lights do not spell out the words (high beam, turn, fuel, etc) but instead have the symbols,( head light, two arrows, fuel pump) I'm ok with that it actually kinda modernizes it some. Also the turn signal indicator is green, not amber and the low fuel is amber and not red. Oil level is the only red light. and with the nuetral and turn side by side they are both green. It's just different. This is not installed yet. I took one of the red lens out of the old panel (by dipping in boiling water and tapping) I now plan to drill out the blank dummy indicator and install this red lens, wire in a red LED and run the wiring under the seat. Put it all back together and then figure out what I want to do, either low voltage or oil pressure. I need to post some pictures, I know....

Damn, that really looks good with the naked panels. Did you clean under them up at all?

That is totaly what I have been looking for!!! Do you have vendor and part number? How/where did you wire the second running lamop wire? Please PM me, thanx Steve in Michigan

I got the call to say my speedo mount and rear guard are ready.
I was so excited a little bit of wee might have come out, but I didn't care. :biglaugh:
Immediately did the 2 hour round trip to pick them up.

The speedo mount is COMPLETELY USELESS! :bang head: What a WOFTAM.

The rear guard work was pretty ****, but I should be able to get the bike going with it. I took a pic of it loosely thrown together. I wasn't central with the camera or anything coz I was so pissed off.

What do you think of my genuine model A light? It's different... that's for sure. It's a hot rod bike. :punk:

Agreed. Wow. Same size as a car license plate? Tail light looks pretty cool, and matches the turn signals. What happened with the speedo mount Bazwell? And what is WOFTAM?

WOFTAM is waste of ... um... time and money.

The speedo mount is just too big, and puts the speedo on the wrong angle.
Theres nothing I can do to make it work.

To be fair, as a work of art, it gets the thumbs up. Quality piece. Fits into the "old hot rod" look well.
Here it is ready for blasting and coating. I think it would look pretty awesome chromed.
It's heavy!
I just wish she's shown me what she was doing at some point.
She's so capable. She's currently making an accurate katana for a movie, made of twisted steel. Crazy work.

I'm just pissed that I's going back to her to melt down. It's no use to me. :damn angry:
