Put my new shift segment in shifts nice now. I probably should go ahead & put one in the girlfriends bike now.

I have a question about this. If i have a 2004 ( with the redesigned segment) I can have some miss shift sometimes with this segment or it's just a bad shifting move or a bad transmission ?

If its just every once in a while I would atribute it to just a bad shift. Have you tried adjusting your shifter where its closer to the top of your foot ?

I changed oil, changed out clutch spring to a pcw one and new frictions , and added a new clutch cover insert (Michigan vmax hooligan) and installed some delkevic slipons. A good day. Thanks for the help beekeeper.

I installed my fatmax hard bags and relocated my turn signals. Tomorrow have to install my dyna tech 3000. Then just my koso rx2n speedo. Then she will be ready for the season :eusa_dance:

I changed the oil and filter. Cleaned her up a bit and put 70 miles on the odometer. :eusa_dance:

Cleaned on Christines quite a bit & put some clear turn sinal lens's on it. I have some new superbike bars here for it but neither one of us like the extra width so I will be chopping an inch off each side Monday & installing them.

Set up wire adapters so stock clutch clips can talk to FJR master. Cleaned three out of four carbs. Found some interesting stuff. Disassembled fuel pump. Found even more interesting stuff (see below). Tested new Mr. Gasket fuel pump. Pumps great! No click, just more whirring. Now I have to reassemble/reinstall some carbs, build fuel lines to get from 5/16" to 1/4", tighten some things up, and test ride this thing again. Hopefully this fixes my fueling issues, gets me back to about 40mpg and ready for motor tear-down so I can get on the road to Sean's place for my transmission swap.

Took the blue '90 out for a spin and ran into a Harley event at the local dealer. There were about 200 H.D.s in attendance with a band and some vendors in their parking lot. One older Ducati 1000 , one Honda CBRR 1000 and my Max were the only non- HDs there. I got a few looks when I pulled in , and a lot more when I parked. Stayed about an hour and headed for the road as I wasn't drinking and the food looked like they cooked it the night before. LOL Drove right through the mass of odd balls there and pulled out onto the road fronting the place. Let it loose a little in first and popped the front wheel in second and held it for a bit. Saw a few of the guys I knew later at one of the local hangouts . They said a lot of the attendees caught my exit and were elbowing each other as I left. 5 guys I had never met offerred to buy me a beer while I was there. Told 'em no thanks , been clean & sober for almost 5 years now , so I toasted a few iced teas with 'em and left early. Feels good being able to still associate with 'em , and they know I can also leave 'em in the dust. :punk:

Yes, when a modded VMax passes near a group of HD riders & they hear the sound & see the power, they can't help themselves, they have to look. I have an acquaintance who is a die-hard HD guy & it would just-about kill him to say something nice about another brand! He was a pro domestic line mechanic & retired, now he has a cottage industry business working on HD's. Even he has to come-out & take a look when I pull-up at his home.

They all wish their bikes made 110 RWHP stock & w/just a pipe & carb kit added another 15. The sound is what makes them most-envious. Instead of their "tuber-toot,"the 'potato-potato' just can't compare to a good aftermatket full exhaust on ours! They have to look, in-spite of themselves.:rofl_200: Think of it as, audio **** for the gearheads

Sounds good at idle Lee. Whats it sound like at 6000rpm.

Install rear foot mounts for kurykyn pegs, install 2 small lights in front.

Finally got the bike off the jack stands. And took her for 15min ride. nice to be out riding.

I got out yesterday, man it felt GREAT! the coolest thing was when a Harley was on my left in traffic and I came up on him and he kinda looked over then he inched past in traffic in his lane then I passed slightly on his right again and he the puuled up and gestured to say something so I pulled closer and he said" Holy **** that sounds good!" I just nodded thanks and kinda chuckled and said to myself " yea, it does sound better than his AND I'd smoke his ***!" Damn, I Love my bike. Hope everyone here has a safe, fun riding season. Ed✨
