Thank goodness NOTHING! Instead of the Vmax, wife and I went on the FJR along backroads to Lynchburg, Tn. About 35 miles from home. Going about 45 and taking it real easy (wife of board) a very large deer jumped out of a creek bed and impacted my front wheel with about 1/2 second notice. I emergency braked and then we impacted and bike seperated from the two of us. We rolled and slid for quite a ways. Ambulance ride and xrays a while later we got to go home to 24 hours of sore can't move hell. Wife so bad she could not breath. Went Sunday to a larger (better) hospital where they found broke ribs on her and possible begining of pneumonia. We stayed in hospital until today. I was in bad shape too but not too bad to have my own bed and slept half *** on a recliner. More pain meds and we came home. I go back to my Dr. in morning. I am having difficulty breathing, big toe broke and we both have road rash, (hers worse). Bike has comprehensive so they said they would fix it (Progressive). Full face helments were scrapped bad, especially the face guards. But we are able to walk! Ironically I had been talking to CasseyJones on another site (Samurai) before this happened then told him what had taken place; thought the name was familiar and low and behold he is a Vmax man also! I would have been sick if my Max was bent!

Man, sorry to hear about this misfortune. Glad you will heal up and I hope its speedy. Maybe time to drive the Samurai while you heal up. Might as well drop a percocet or two, throw on some Pink Floyd and let the healing begin. Glad you two are still on your feet, also happy you had the right lids.

Cassey; the Samurai is not working right ...you know. And percocets aren't helping. They were, but not now. I'll be glad to see my Dr. in the morning. Thanks, we will get over this in a few more days I hope.

Rode to a local bike night last night.

Not exactly to my bike. I was telling skip about the toll charges during thunder.... Oh **** I forgot to pay my toll, and I threw the paper away they gave me. Finally called and got amount, with charge it went from $9 to $12.75. But it's done...

Tested out my tactical mask on the ride home from work.... almost no additional wind noise and 0 bugs to the face! The blueish tint in the eyes is from my safety glasses being on underneath.

You know they have these things that protect your face AND head while you're riding... I think they're called, ummm, helmets. ;)

That mask is gonna scare some kids.

:ummm: I must be getting old. Wearing that, just seems ridiculous. If you think it looks good and you like it, go for it though. I just hope it fits well enough not to shift positions and cause a problem.

Matt

I do have a half helmet that im going wear with it once i modify the mask to mate to the helmet. By itself, it dosent move once the 6 straps are adjusted right for your head. Im thinking about getting a second one to makea welding mask with for work, lol.

What'd I do to my V? Apparently clogged the pilot circuit on the right rear carb (header cold to the touch at op temp while idling). Running on 3 until I'm past 1/4 turn on the happy tube. Gonna check plugs and coil wires, but I'm pretty sure a shotgun to the aforementioned carb is gonna be the prescription. Here's to hopin'!
