They sell the modified light already. I linked the taillight and the bracket in the post. Price for the integrated LED was $136 and change. The bracket was around $35. So all-in-all less than $200.
That's pretty acceptable. How much was the shipping?

How is the light performance?

I honestly don't remember shipping, if any. It wasn't a consideration for me. You could probably visit the site and figure that out pretty easily.

As far as the lighting goes it's comparable to the stock taillight as far as brightness is concerned. My wife followed me on her bike and was able to clearly see the brake and turn signal lights.

Not all in just one day, more like a few weeks but...

New site glass. The old one was brittle and fell apart. Also a little paint on the scoop logos.

Lubed handlebar switches. New headlight bulb.

Full carb teardown to get to the plugged jets in the jet blocks. All clear now. Waiting for gaskets and orings. Plan to do a synch after reinstall.

Did some touch up paint on the engine and frame after a degreasing.

Already cleaned and rebuilt all calipers, installed new pads, flushed all lines and masters, and installed stainless lines. Brakes are at least 50% better.

Replaced fork seals and oil.

Replaced all steering head races and bearings. Thanks Sean!

New tires on the way. New progressive rear shocks on the way.

New sealed battery.

Engine oil change and filter.

Can't wait to get it back on the road.

I have been at John Furburs shop 4 days helping out before the auction. It was great helping out but also a lot of work.
WOW! Just seeing that name takes me back to 2012, when I got my basket case 85. Reading everything I could get my hands on about the handling, performance and maintenance of the Max. RMSportmax was a huge Quonset hut north west of Denver off of 64th and Hwy 93 by the Rocky Mountain Arsenal , full of cool early aftermarket and stock Vmax and Venture parts and bikes. Yea I'll bet that was "alota" work. But still that kinda fun work that you are a lucky guy to be part of, thanks for the post Kyle.

Just put on some new chrome scoops and covers, compliments of Sean Morley, I'll be repainting the engine over the next few days, looking forward to showing her off at a couple rallies.

Good parts on that one, Holeshot Performance 4/1, different front headlamp/flyscreen & rear body seat/fender, re-sale or a part-out?

That's about as-worn a front tire as I've ever-seen. If someone sneezed out of the window that-much moisture would probably cause that 'baldie' to wash-out and cause a crash.

I am taking the matching Kosman wheels off since it's rare to to see a set. It seems like he done lots of rears but not as many fronts. I will get it fired up after that and probably sell it whole.
