What does the Yamaha competiton ECU do?

My dealer could not answer this question. Hence I am asking you folks. What does the Yamaha competition ECU do? Does it have to be used in conjunction with other modifications?

Not sure but I think it is a slightly more aggressive curve with elimination of the top end limiter.
I think I still have a power commander with some vmax curves laying around here. Even a fuel massager.
