Just go on Facebook to see your Turbo Busa on the Dyno making 228 hp I guess is a way to end it on a better note....

Sometimes if you only had a little more time with something you could figure it out yourself......But having finished the Vmax in time for Thunder was a HUGE accomplishment alone. And than to have my Truck break and blow out the brand new clutch two days before Thunder definitely left me with a bad case of timing. So maybe even if something stupid like a couple of bum starters on my Turbo bike might be the only reason it was running bad and wouldn't start, I don't know. But looks like I might be getting it back soon. I ll just be glad to get this fu#$%&* back and be able to terrorize my street again. :biglaugh:

I ll just be glad to get this thing back. Its been away too long and with the riding season probably at its halfway point here in MI, I want to get a little seat time on it.

Most of all I want a 8 second 1/4 mile pass!

How many gears? It souned like alot of shifting to me. Todd im thinking if i build for the drag strip it will be a ashphalt snowmobile. Im so sick of shifting i could puke. Hell i dont even want to push a air shifter button. All i want is alot of throttle and good brake's. Well a turbo would be fun. Glad to here your turbo busa will be in your hands soon. And i hope you get that 8 second pass.

Im thinking for the money a thundercat 1000 would be alot of fun. And my son can race it with me if he wants to.

You're making nice power but rather low for a turbo setup. Of course if it's stock engine other then turbo that's not too bad at all. Got a local friend with closer to 400 rwhp and he's yet to get an 8 second pass (I think he's very close and running 160+ mph). The clutch on those bikes are very finicky when you make that sort of power.

I run the 8 second pass's on the yellow drag bike but it's got a wheelie bar and slick and no worry about going over. It's only making 177rwhp but it's also very light (need to weight it).

I got into the eights pretty fast with Who's Chicken II (With suzi power but no turbo) I was pulling a lot less HP, but that was a purpose built drag bike with about a foot more wheelbase. I don't doubt you have the horse power to do it, it getting the power to the ground and keeping the bike on the track. On the other hand, I don't think you will have anything on the street that will be able to come close. My guess is that your biggest problem will be managing your rear wheel speed. I hope I get to watch that first 8 sec run! (I'd love to see that 10 sec run on the Vmax too)

Its only a street bike and not an all out drag bike. So a stage 1 turbo setup witha few goodies is all it has. And honestly above 300 hp on the streey really doesnt make the bike any faster. You simply can't get them to hook up good.

That's the nice thing about turbo bikes. Doesn't matter the max boost or HP. They tend to ride around very docile. I agree too that anything over 300 on the street is wasting the rear tire!
