Hi folks:

I was able to find and purchase a 4-1 Kerker system for my Fazer (FZX700).

However, there are some pretty sizeable dents in the first bend of a couple of the header pipes, and I'm wondering if any of you know a person/company I could hire to remove these dents?

Thanks muchly.

I like it! We've done it before but using much harder method of cutting apart, fixing the metal, and welding it back together again.

Here is a way:

http://pipeworks.homestead.com/Motorcycle-Exhaust-Pipe-Repair--Motocross-Motorcycle.html

Back in the day, there used to be an old school Harley mechanic that lived a few blocks over. He's fixed a few pipes for some people, myself included.
He just sealed the pipe, filled it with water then froze it. As the water froze it expanded and puched about 80-90% of the dents out.

I've heard of a 50/50 success ratio with this. Sometimes will attack a weak area of the pipe instead of a dent. Sometimes will cause a pipe to split when frozen, or shortly after put back into use. Sometime works pretty well.

If you can weld yourself it can be done cheaply. Many places sell some generic bent tubes of different bend angles etc. Buy one or 2 of the same size , cut out the bad bit and weld in your new one. With a decent weld and dressed up with a flap wheel it's possible to make it totally undetectable.
If you cant find a place with a box of bends you could get a fab shop or exhaust shop to knock you up the piece for a few dollars.

:punk: Hey Elimax, I'd try one of those dent buster companys that do paintless dent repair on automobiles. If they can get their probes in there they can fix it. Good luck, Spurs
