I'm at the Hard Rock in Hollywood FL for a medical conference, and who just walked by? Al Pacino!

He's got a 1-man show today. He was surrounded by handlers, but I was sitting at a cafe table, and he went by. They were carrying a "Scarface" drawing w/what looked like dozens of signatures on it. He stopped to say, "hello" to some of the help. He's not a tall guy.

And now, time for 'happy-hour!' One of the benefits of the conference. :biglaugh:

Yeah, I had read the publicity about the visit but didn't recall that his show was tonight, until I saw him. On local talk radio, they had mentioned he was doing it on his birthday. I'd have to say, he's secured a rightful place in the Hollywood film pantheon. That trio of Hoffman, DeNiro, and Pacino has certainly made some of the most-interesting movies to come-out of the film industry. Sure, there are others of their generation who made some great movies, big-grossing ones, and less-commercially-successful, but good-to-watch ones, but I think these are the three guys who are most-often thought-of at the same time.

Dennis Hopper, Harrison Ford, Warren Beatty, Christopher Walken, roughly in the same era, all w/very respectable films too. They are already starting to die-off.

Very cool. I just watched "heat" again a few nights ago with my wife....awesome movie. "scent of a woman" is another classic
