I think I will end-up paying-off my credit card debt and getting my FZR1000 2nd gear fixed, yes they have the same problem the VMaxes have. I've owned it since it was barely 1 year-old, I bought it from a co-worker on fire-rescue who bought it new in Ft. Lauderdale. I got it w/< 3K mi. on it. If I had it fixed, I could probably ride it until I stopped riding altogether. I have lots of spares for it & have all the parts for the fix, including a new (used) gearbox.
