:eusa_dance: They finally came! I was told switching to COP's were a great performance mod so I decided to snatch some up! Check this deal out...Ebay rules!
I paid $10 for the caps,
I paid $10 more for shipping.
They got here in less than a week,
They came with the harness still all hooked up (One key reason I bought THIS set)
They came off a running 2006 R1.
I cleaned them and threw some decorative diamond plate wrapping on them so they stand out on the motor a bit more and BOOM! This is where Im at so far...
Looks like me and Dave are ganna need to have another wiring party:biglaugh:.
What do we think guys? Im ganna be runnin them on my 1985,anyone have any personal experience with this years COP's?

Good deal!!!!!:clapping:

Keep us posted.......:eusa_dance:

sweet deal man :punk:, lucky you. cant wait to see the pics on the bike. not sure if there is anything different you have to do to hook them up on the older models but will make for a cool add on. just wait until you show someone on the street and tell them that the cop's cam like that on 85 vmax, way ahead of the times.:rofl_200::rofl_200:

Has anyone actually gotten dyno proven results that they are a good performance mod?

I have done dyno before and after, they dont add any HP. They definately help throttle response and make starting easier.

Hey Ace
You can try it with the decorative diamond plate but more than like it is going to arc on you. The clearance is very close inside the head.

Nice. About the same deal I got, bike runs much better with them on.

I guess I got another project in the working huh ??
I agree with Fargo , I used a rubber gromet to hold them in place and they arced all over the place , it really hurt the performance although, it may look nice ...ditch the tape if it`s metalic based it will arc on the head for sure.

Thats good advice fellas,I still have the big rubber rings for the tops if I need to.I REALLLLYYYYY dont think ill have problems with arcing, the diamond plate is just a sticker roll,if you hold it to the light its actually clear its so thin so I dont think it will be able to arc anything but well have to see when they are on.Im ok with pullin the shine off them if they aid performance at all,Doesnt gotta be pretty to be fast.
I know I wont see a horse power gain but a faster throttle response is all im lookin for and Im told they will help keep the top end power.Im the kinda guy that says every mod as a whole makes it faster.Pipes, air cleaner, and ignition wont make a bike a rocket on their own, but all of them together make the difference. So Im takin on one more little thing to add to the whole.Ya know?
