Estimated crank & rear wheel HP for a 1985 vmax, ufo piped, jetted, k/n raceing filter. 12,342k, Then how about a stock 1985? crank then rear wheel? Do the 85's ( that's the one I have ) have that much more HP?
Now lets have some fun....

Perhaps more... I am running 124 so I'd bet you'd be a bit higher than that.

Tuning has a lot to do with it though.

I don't know where it all got started that the 85s had more HP or were faster. As far as I can tell they all run about the same. I've had an 85 whith Kirkers & stage 7 jet kit and a 93 with the same. The 93 was faster. Dyno a stock max of any year and you may find quite a difference in HP. Some just run better than others.

I dont know either but I can tell you this.. I have had a 99, 03 and my currecnt 85 engine with low compression and the 85 is the fastest I have had so far on the dragstrip I set my lowest ET with the 85 engine I bought for 500.00
This is all with the same carb setup, exhaust, and tire.. So the 85 engine is Gooder then the rest hell its even faster then the 09's I havent had one 09 VMAX beat me yet at the track LMAO :p

My guess is hmmm 119 RWHP since I dont who is tuning it

Which pipe?? If it's the newer dragstar then under 120. If it's the older pipe then I am going to say 124. That is if it's the stage seven jet kit. It it's the stage 1 then take off 5.

older pipe, ( sounds like big block v8 ) I don't know wich stage jet kit.

individual filters is stage seven. Higher mileage (over 50,000) will add about 3-5. Poor tune can take as much as 20 off. Valve adjustment, carb settings (float, jets, etc....) all have effects. Try to get an A/F ratio when you get the dyno done.
