Did this swap a month or two ago and WOW what a difference. Before the temp would get pretty close to the top end of the scale before the fan would start. Now, it hits the middle of the gauge and stays there even when stuck in traffic and it's 32 degrees C outside I'm a happy Camper :D :D :D...

Got the same thing with mine (2004 Max), I'm gonna shim-up the contact points on the cover to bike, make them a lot tighter and see where that gets me. Agreed though it's very, very annoying.

Dealt with John @ PCW, he's a pretty straight up guy and treated me like gold even for a small order :) Not to sure about forged but you should be able to get a billet unit made. It's gonna cost you . . . as the saying goes: Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go ;)
