    HELP!!! Stock '04 carbs

Took the carbs apart and cleaned with a can of "Motor Tuner" (cleans the carbs really well). Found nothing to dirty or gummed up. What I did find was that all the fuel/air screws were set different. Made them all the same 2 turns out from seated. Bike liked that the best. Can't tell if the A/F...

    HELP!!! Stock '04 carbs

Ran the same, V-boost hits at 4k instead of 6k now. More fun around town. I can turn it off so boost is not used at all. Milage is the same as it was before. If I go on the hiway, I set the boost to 6k <passing gear>. Thanks for the help. It'll be apart in a couple of days.

    HELP!!! Stock '04 carbs

The brass plugs are still there. Prev Owner was not mechanical at all, so the bike was totally stock. I added the v-boost toggle switch. As far as the AF screws, what way is leaner, in or out? I know how to tune the sleds <2 stroke>, bikes look to be the same, just a few more carbs.

    HELP!!! Stock '04 carbs

Are the jets a standard Mikuni jet or are they something a bit different? I have a tone of jets from the snowmobiles (grass drag mech). The bike smells rather rich (heavy exhaust) when I pull up to a light and wait. Seems rather sluggish till it hits the 5-6k on the tach. then it pulls better...

    HELP!!! Stock '04 carbs

I have a stock 2004, it does have the v-boost switch to kick in at 4 grand. The bike runs rather rich, can smell it when you stop. Milage is near 30 to the gallon. I don't want to change the headers, pipes or air filter for more power. I am interested in doing some carb work to clean up the low...

What size PVC to put the fork seals back in?

Got the bike back together and took it for a ride. Much better than before (one side was leaking rather badly). Now we need more sun and less rain.

What size PVC to put the fork seals back in?

Found a plastic coupler that fit (kinda tight) but it did the job. On the 2004's is the oil to be filled to the 4.85" from the top of the tube (compressed) with no spring installed?

What size PVC to put the fork seals back in?

Stuff came back from paint last night. Got the bushings in with some tounge depressors. I'll run to the Ace store in town and see if they have any pipe with an ID of 1.75 and a OD under 2.00. Starting to wonder if the forks are stock?!?!?

What size PVC to put the fork seals back in?

I'll give it a try when the parts come back from paint.

What size PVC to put the fork seals back in?

1.5" ID PVC will not fit over fork tube. 2" is too large to get into the bottom of the fork. Bike is a 04. Looks like the prev owner did the progressive springs. Tube is 43mm or 1.75" apx in dia.

What size PVC to put the fork seals back in?

I have the forks apart for some paint work on the bottoms. What size PVC are you people using to get the upper bushings and oil seals back in? Where did you get it? Looked at local hardware (home center), 1.5" too small, 2.0" too large. Do they make 1.75"? I would be greatful for any info...

    one throttle cable after splitter?

Just replaced mine (return side) as it had broken off in the splitter box. Found it rather interesting to ride with the throttle hanging from time to time.

    fork psi?

Are you guys using compressed air for the forks or nitrogen? Replacing the seals in the next few weeks as they are leaking.
