I bought a power bleeder for doing the brakes on my truck and wanted to also use it for the clutch on the Vmax. Seems only Harley adapters are available. So I made my own. Now I can bleed my clutch and have fresh fluid in there.:biglaugh:
Those are the "Top Fuel Carbs" from Cycle One Off. I have the same ones. But Tom's carbs come with intake manifolds. Not reuse the OEM ones. These carbs are gear driven so there's no need to sync and the stock throttle cables can be used.:clapping:
I just changed my battery and decided to put a spare Velcro strap I had in the battery box. It's so the next time a have to pull the battery I just grab the strap and pull the battery out. Just like handles on a bag.
Sean, How accurate are the temp gauges on the Vmax. My temps always reads like that but I've blown coolant out the overflow before. Not all the time of course but it's happened a couple of times.:ummm::confused2:
This is my temp after about an hour and 15 miles. It's 2:00 in the afternoon and 85 degrees on a sunny day. I bought the 160 degree thermostat from ebay. Can't wait to try it and see how it works. Thanks Bumper for the info.:clapping:
Thanks for the info. :clapping:I've been looking for a long time. I'm in Hawaii where in the summers it gets in the high 80's sometimes 90. I always put low temp stats in my cars, finally one for the bike.
It's the Autometer Pro-Cycle monster tach. I got the set up from Tom at Cycle one off. I ordered the tach with mounting bracket to run the stock speedo.:rocket bike:
Oh yeah, I had the problem with the bolt hitting. but when I hit bumps or dips in the road I feel a solid hit and it goes straight up my back. Feels like it's bottoming. I've been emailing Kevin at coil springs dot com and he can make progressive springs for my body weight. so I'm going to...
I have the cheap ebay ones too. I wanted all silver and chrome springs. I'm currently emailing a custom coil spring company on making custom coils for these shocks. they bottom out when I hit bumps in the road. I guess I could lose some weight. Not.
I was thinking about changing my clutch master too hoping to cure the problem. Just picked up a Motion Pro bleeder. Just did a double D clutch mod with all new disks. Steel and friction. Clutch master next. I Took the bike on a test run yesterday and the clutch works good. I came to a stop at a...
