Lots of examples of nice choppers out there. Is there one with a vmax engine? Surely it's been done. But if so, the builder(s) didn't take one picture? Not one? Seems odd.

Now that I'm looking at it, I think this could be done without even splitting the case. Just saw the damned middle drive off, fasten some kind of plate with a seal in it to the case, add sprocket and ride away! Has to be a totally unworkable fantasy...?

Yes, as I understand it, a stuck float would cause fuel starvation (stuck up) or overflowing (stuck down). I have neither. The weather has gotten significantly cooler and wet and the problem has stopped - almost completely. I'll just order carb rebuild kits now and do that and replace the hoses...
