Well,the wheel spacers are the least of my worries.I can spin a couple of them on my lathe in no time.I already have a stabilizer,and have checked into the extensions as well.My biggest problemright now,is deciding what wheels to go with.Im just not sure if i wanna keep the stocker,or go ahead...

I bought my 85 max about 6 months ago,and it had 3200 miles on it,but required re-doing the entire fuel system ,minus the fuel pump.Right now she is completely re-done,and only has 4125 miles on it,and i love it to death!

Ive see:ummm:n up here where a few guys have put a 170 rear tire on their 1st generation max's.Could someone give me the full size of the tire? Aspect ratio,etc?

Im afraid that you may be correct about the tranny.Its definetly not the clutch,and i can tell when the tire is spinning.What usually happens when i leave hard on it,the back tire breaks loose for about a car length,then it does this ..slip grab thing,then hooks and leaves HARD! Im worried about...

What size 170 tire are you running?..aspect ratio,etc?

Ive aquired a new problem here recently,and its kinda strange.Under really hard acceleration in 1st gear,the bike seems to ...slip?..or something.Almost like it jumps outta gear,then right back in,and really snaps the hell outt my neck.I dont know if this is a clutch,tranny,or driveshaft...

It is a ABS plastic piece that i found on E-gay,of all places! Very good price,and very durable,and well built.I just didnt like the rubber strap thingies that they sent to mount it,so i made my own brackets.I thought it turned out pretty cool myself,THANKS!

Sounds like it could be the enrichment (secondary) diaphrams.The small ones mounted on the sides of the carbs.Could be sticking,or possibly have a hole in them.

Thanks guys.I tried the plain orange,but i think the striping set it off pretty good.Plus its done purposely in a retro-style look.I mean its an 85,so it IS retro!..lol.
