Hello
My fork seals have been leaking forever. Now its time to change them. On the 85 Vmax there is a a tube connecting both fork tube just below the top triple. I pulled the snap rings from both tubes, but the collars that hold the tube will not budge. But now will spin. I don't want to break anything. How do I get these off?

They have rubber o-ring seals in them. You have to use a little force to get the o-rings out of the grooves but make sure you don't bend/ kink the interconnecting tube.

It took me a LOT of force to get them off my 86, I sealed the holes with jbweld when I upgraded the springs and added emulators.

Squirt a bit of WD-40 or similar on the edges where they fit over the fork tubes.
They'll come right off.
