just found this out this past weekend as my brother's neck cover above the electronics was cracked in half so he just put acetone on the seam, put them together and it holds great, i had no idea. i'm sure its common knowledge but for those of you who don't know...

Some solvents works too :)
 
i can imagine. does it just melt the plastic back together?
 
Never tried acetone, good tip.

I've had good luck using ABS pipe glue on ABS plastic on the bike. MEK is the primary solvent in that.
