Am i missing something here?

Hi guys, I've had my bike apart for a while and I just got it back together today. I noticed this gap below the ignition switch that looks odd like there's something missing. I don't remember seeing this gap before. It's been so long since I took it apart I can't remember if anything went there or not, hell I could barely remember where all the screws went. Is this normal or did I somehow manage lose a piece? Thanks in advance.

Mine looks like that. I think it's normal. Probably there for water to drain.
