Another mass shooting, the worst since Sandy Hook. In San Bernardino, CA, with at least 14 dead. 3 shooters or more escaped. The crime scene is active still. The shooters used long rifles. This time a center giving help to developmental disable people was attacked. Appears to be an act of either Domestic or International terrorism. I don't understand how it could happen with all the yahoos carrying guns. Where are the good guys with the guns?

To add irony to the gun violence problem a group of Doctors adding up to about 2000 was petitioning Congress just to allow research into gun violence just as this latest mass murder happened. The Republican Congress with the backing of the NRA passed a law allowing no research to be done . Why? Because obviously the NRA and the Republican Congress doesn't want any public policy to be based on facts. This insanity has to stop.

I don't currently own any guns.
I sold my handguns and even my shotgun when I moved back to NY a few years ago.
I just didn't want to deal with the strict gun laws here.
I could have easily kept them and never bothered registering them here but that would have been illegal and I'm not a criminal.
I do however believe in law abiding citizens having the right to bear arms in the US.

And what I suggest people do is what the 3 Americans and a Brit did on the train in Paris and what the passengers of flight 93 did to curb violent attacks, attack the attackers with any weapon that is at hand.

As for crime in Mexico, I'm don't believe I am misinformed.

I guess I don't have a dog in the fight except for being an American citizen wanting to hold on to ALL my rights. I moved to a state where there is gun registry as well as strict gun laws. The same state where your son got his windows shot out. How can that be? So I chose not to participate and lock everything up in a neighboring state and let rust take its toll. I'll support the NRA and every citizen's right to self preservation. I hope your son is ok and not in danger, regardless of our differences of opinion.

Massachusetts gun laws hard at work. Maybe only the "yahoos" will have guns someday. They just don't seem to follow the letter of the law. Which is why gun laws are not working, nor ever going to work.
