It's pretty common the sensors go bad, especially on older bikes.

We can't go handing out 10 pixel wide awards all willy-nilly now....lol

He said in a post that the fuel light came on and he flipped the switch to "on" which means he had it on "res" the whole time. To late, your out of gas! DOH!

It is a mistake I made on my 86' fazer when i first got it.
