Morning, fellas.

I have a 2006 with 7,500 miles. Once in a while when I rev the bike up I can hear a slight backfire sound coming from the carbs. What in the heck could be causing this?

Thank you,

Thomas

A lean sneeze or spit is common. If it does it when hot you may need increase your fuel jetting or verify that the float levels and carbs are set correctly.

I had the same thing recommended to me for this condition. After completion of rejetting and adjustments, it changed nothing in the performance, made my nice chrome exhaust turn blue and never made a bit of difference to the little cough through the carbs. My advice, leave it alone and live with it!
