Those open to the side which I personally do not like. Always dumping everything on the ground. Some of the eBay ones are ok but be sure and get measurements. Some are very small. Also check the hardware provided. All will require some modifications. At a minimum, different bolts and spacers.

Not sure what your budget but the fatmax bags are great, you will not be disappointed and they have tons of space. I also like the lines.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1407235547.374694.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1407235574.116697.jpg

I just ordered a CL-2020 tank back from amazon for about $90 with shipping. I know you said you wanted something not made of faberic but I have been looking into this one for a while now. GPS and phone holder is a pulse for me... Nothing like hitting DC area and not knowing where the hell your going...

Ok, I will be the guinea pig here and order a set, come the third of the month. They look like they will do the job nicely for what I am looking for. For this price, I will deal with them opening to the side.

Fingers crossed as I look more into this dealer

P.S. Says not compatable with a V-Max, but I bet they can be made to fit my bike.
If I can make a cupholder out of freakin plumbing pieces and scrap lying around that works, I can do this shit! :punk:

The hardbags I ordered for my bike came in today. Includes mounting hardware. Overall, I am pleased, and this was $75.98 VERY well spent in my opinion.
The overall fit and finish may not be as good as some of the premium pieces out there, but they still seem very servicable. I will want to do a few touch-up jobs, here and there, just to make certain that things are sealed up properly from the weather. Overall, pretty damn good deal I am thinking. Good quality for the price paid.

One thing to note. You will need to fab mounting points if you do not have a luggage rack. I have the luggage rack from Cyclistic. I will still need to add some bracketry to mount these. That being said, it should not be difficult at all to do this.

Those don't look bad at all. I can't wait to see when you mount them! I might just try these myself...
