Fixed my exhaust pop!

Well, as some may know, I recently got my hindle 4-1 ceramic coated.

When I first got the bike, I had an exhaust pop after a good rev of the engine.
I took off the exhaust, had it coated and re-installed with all new OEM gaskets and silicone RTV.

The leak is gone and no more pop! Seems much smoother too! Nice exhaust tone to boot!

Congrats! Exhaust leaks can be a cast iron pain in the arse at times!

Yep! I've said it before! Sealing can get rid of the pop on decel.

I figure, if the leak comes back, I may RTV around the OEM gasket as well - this time, i simply used the new OEM gasket - unless someone can tell me a reason not to.

The leak was from the front of the engine - right at the flange.

Just heat cycle it a couple of times and recheck the nuts. You'll be fine. I'd keep the RTV out of that area. I think it'll be a bit to hot for it.
