I've knocked anyone that buys anything with wheels that isn't American... Very brand racist. If a friend is looking at a yamaha Grizzly i will beg him to look at a polaris (greatest quads ever FYI :) )

I've said it before but i'll say it again. I've been in love with the Vmax since the mid/late 80's after reading an article about how it was designed to mimic an american muscle car.

I've never gotten that out of my head. Thanks to Todd's help i've made this a reality. The dropped off the bike this morning! Y'all were right! This is by far the best deal i could have ever hoped for, even with the extra 550 for shipping.

Here are some pics for those pic fanatics like me!

The popo (polaris) is gonna be pissed about the Yamaha in the stable!

LOL, That Rocks !!!! :punk:
You'll really like it the first time you hit the VBoost (~6000 rpm) and that front wheel jumps up on you !!!!!
You'll be Grinning ear to ear and scared half to death all at the same time.
Just be sure it's pointed Straight Ahead when you do.

Some things i have to work on,

1. the right turn signal doesn't work on the front. and when the right blinker is selected the front left blinker blinks a little, might be a ground problem.
2. SEAT! after 18 miles my tush was starting to tingle. Need more seat time. Then a max gasser.
3. Neutral light needs adjusting. Doesn't always come on for me, makes it a little hard now not knowing the tranny. Finding Neutral will become easier though.
4. i will be adding forward controls, while i didn't get any leg pain i think the riding position will be better for my lard ass.
5. I'm going on a diet! HEHE

Not knowing the Fuel switch i switched it from the ON position to the RES position, when the light came on after 3 miles a switched it to ON... Thinking reserve on... HAHA she died on me.

I called a buddy that gave me his garage code and i stole some gas. While i was walking i left the lights on. When i started it, it was a little hesitant to start, might slap a upgraded battery into it.

Now the good part, i only rode it in my Neighborhood but it is a large open place. Got it in Vboost and WOW! She is a beast and just plastered a smile on my face that i've yet to wipe off!!!!!!!

Thanks again TODD you DA man!

No doubt Dennis, i will not be hitting it in the low gears just yet. First is just plain scary!

I saw the post and will go lithium... When will we get LiPo batteries?

The AGM batteries are cheaper, but I like the Li-ion batteries too, and use one in my 'Max. I think you will be pleased w/one.

You make the VMax look like a smaller bike, sitting on it.

I'd guess you've had performance bikes before, but an intro period is always a good thing when learning a new tool, firearm, car, bike, or spouse...:rofl_200:

No, never i have a 10 second stang on motor 9's on N2O. My last bike was a 82 Suzuki GS1100. That was quick for me, but I'm tame on bikes... Get in my cars and you have to sign a waiver to pay for the seats if you mess them.

My family just got home, pic of Hayleigh Goose on it for the first time.

Congrats!

That's an American made bicycle against the garage right?

Haha!
J/K!

Welcome to the dark side. I use to feel the same way but eventually felt that I want what I want, if an American company wants my business then they better damn well build what I want or I will go wherever I can find it.

Glad that your enjoying it. You know...I can understand the buy American thing on brands....but America doesnt build ANYTHING like the Vmax. Ride and enjoy!!!!

At least you bought it "From an American". :biglaugh: Congrats and welcome to the excitement of the Hot Rod bike! :clapping:
