I wear earplugs 90% of the time and ALWAYS on the highway. Not because of the exhaust but because the wind noise will cause you to lose your hearing later in life. I ALWAYS wear a helmet as well.:thumbs up:

Another benefit to earplugs on a trip is reduced fatigue. It is amazing how much better you feel after a long day on the road. I've been using plugs for over 20 years now. However since I spent the first 30 years riding without, I do have some hearing loss.... :Sad:

You loose the center stand with the Cobras too. I drilled out the stock baffles on my stock system to get a more v-8 rumble. I love how the stock system looks.
