Some really cool rides, wished i had new about it. would have gone.
I remembered it last minute first time I have been to it. It was really cool because of all the unusual stuff. It was the first time I seen a gogomobile & a miller & a fascination never even heard of a facination before. Also first time I have seen a measursmidt in person. The Miller was a 1919 and ran would run a 105-110 MPH thats quick for that year.

Not from Google! The Miller was a DOHC design which borrowed from the Pre-WW I Peugeot DOHC engine. When Miller went bust, Fred Offenhauser bought the rights to the engine design. Meyer and Drake eventually bought the co. from Offenhauser and kept it current into the 1970's. As a car-crazy kid growing up in the 1950's/ 60's, I used to listen to the Indy 500 before they had it on tv simulcast.
Meyer/Drake Offenhausers powered nearly the entire field until the Ford/Cosworth came along. My friend's father who began racing Indy cars in the early 1950's was a customer of the Meyer/Drake co. & had built by them engines for his team for both Indy cars and midgets.

Great pics w/a variety of cars.

If I am correct the first one is a CORD and the first front wheel drive car built late 40's. My father and I knew the grandson to the builder. He was telling me that his grandfather even made the very first computerized air terminal or something along those lines. The guy Mr Cord was a perfect specimen of a person, well mannered and never looked down on anyone. Which is very uncommon for someone with bank these days. The dude was into horses, one time I was out at his place with my dad and he had this horse that was the most beautiful horse I had ever seen ( and I hate horses ) the coat was incredible like a burgandy wine. I was petting it and then he made me nervous when he told me that he spent 600k on the fucking thing. It was some kind of a race horse or something..

That Superbird is worth $200,000 to $300,000. I remember when they were hard to even sell.
Love the 60 Camino...

The VW single cab pick-up is 68' and later :rofl_200: I know VW just not 68' and later the last year of the "splitty" split windsheild was in 67'
