Hi folks,

I'm new to this community joining from EMEA / Germany and wanted to share that I built a quite nice looking LED headlight replacement. I used a "Highsider Pecos LED Type 7" e.g. HIGHSIDER LED Hauptscheinwerfereinsatz TYP 7 mit Standlichtring rund Chrom 5 3/4 4054783254309 | eBay nice chrome housing, eagle eye driving light and over all good looking also from the front.

The mounting at the lower end fits almost perfectly to the original bracket, I added just one washer.
Then I used some force to drill two additional holes in the chrome housing on the back. One to also have a screw to the upper bracket, so that it cannot move up and down.

And a bigger one replacing the simple wire outlet to move all the wiring inside like with the original housing. Did a quick test drive this evening and I really like it. The only thing I'm missing is an additional switch so that I can turn of the low beam and use the eagle eye ring instead, when driving during the day.

Full res. VMax LED Headlight

Looks like a clean install.

How about a nighttime pic of the lo/hi patterns on a wall, so we can see the beam height cut-off, and then a couple of somewhere without other lights, showing the reach of the lo & hi beams, maybe somewhere that there are reflective signs down the road, so we can see the beam reach?
