All,

I just installed my LED kit on my 2018. Check it out...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZGCKBL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I want to install the lights as discretely as possible because it looks like a shit job when people place them on the outside of the bike. I had to remove the seat and tank shroud to run all the wires. There were 3 of the longer LED strips that I simply couldnt use because there was no where to place them :(

Great job on the LEDs.

Tell me about your rear seat and backrest. I am looking to add one to my 2018.
What brand, and do you like it?
It looks good from your photos.

DRWard,

I actually installed the Yamaha low profile backrest and have had MANY compliments on it. Its low profile but looks like it was made for the bike, even though it was. I installed the Corbin seat and like it a lot. There were actually a couple manufacturing defects in it when I ordered it, but it would have been a pain in the ass to send back to get another. I learned to live with them and they arent a big deal. For the price of the seat it should have been perfect. Here is the exact link:

I only bought the front seat and NOT the rear. Not sure what I paid but it was around $375 somewhere. It did lower the bike a bit and it did make a big difference for me (Im 5'8") which is why I bought it. You have to transfer the hardware from the old seat to the new and you have to be careful you dont mix up the parts. I did one side at a time and got through it in about 45 minutes. I used some washers to space it out a bit and I can explain more if you buy the seat.

The lights werent too bad but running them through the bike was a pain in the ass. The only issues with the lights is that there isnt any kill switch, so you either wire it to a hot wire when the bike is started or to the battery. If to the batter, which is how the directions state, you can turn the lights on when the bike is off. I reached out to the manufacturer explaining all this and I do think they are going to address this in the future. Other than that the lights look pretty good. I havent really had my bike out much because we have had lousy weather, but summer for us is just around the corner. I was going to provide a link for the lights but their web page is down on Amazon for some reason.

DITRIO 12pcs Motorcycle LED (Not sure whats going on with them but it has been offline for a week)

Let me go take some pics and Ill show how I placed everything. I think the install is awesome because you cant see the lights!!!

Ok... Here are some good pics :)

2 things to note.... 1) The horn is a Denali Sound Bomb which is AWESOME!!! 2) You can see the wiring cluster near the top of the radiator on the left side. Ill try to clean it up more but there was simply no place else to put it :(

Let me know if you have any questions with any of it :)
