Michigan Indiana ride this past Sunday 5-3-2015
Was a good ride, took me longer to get there and back then it did to do the ride lol. :bang head:
I am not 100% sure on the mileage, but I believe we did around 550ish, with about 150 miles being the ride I would guess.
Hannah and I started the day with a walk with the dog around 7 am.
Next we went to our friend fund raiser ( they do it once a month ) at Feral Farms, this one was for Growing Hope. Its once a month if anyone is interested in a nice ride after breakfast let me know and I ll set it up.
Its all organic. Beets, carrots, sour dough bread, farm fresh eggs, pesto and a strawberry rhubarb little desert. Man its AWESOME! Every month its something different. Very well organized and excellent food every time. Plus its a donation fundraiser every time as well.
I didnt get a first group shot because the sport bike guys were an hour late and Vmax Mike and I waited for them while the other guys took off. But here is a group shot at the meeting point second meeting point.
Here is Vmax Mike and my bike.
Only had one incident where a cruiser rider with the sport guys thought he could push it hard through a turn ( of course he was riding right in front of me ) and almost lost it. He was young and had his girl on back. Typical no gear, except helmets..... thank god they had those on. And my girl being a Surgical nurse, atleast we would have been somewhat safe..... but I wish I had video. He did a good job of keeping it on two wheels, but I thought for sure they were going to eat it.
The crowd thinned out all the sport bikes after the second meeting point. I am not sure why. But they hung out while we had a beverage and expecting them to come in and have lunch because they said they where hungry, but they never came in. So they took off and that left this as the remaining group.
Vmax Mike and my girl Hannah discussing something LOL.
Me and my girl at the last stop. Thats my 14 and Mikes Bking in the background.
The remaining core group. One rider is behind my fat head.
I always get great mileage on the bike....
And then it was 3 hours straight back to my house. On the way back 94 west was shut down for miles and miles and the police had all the intersections blocked and helicopters flying around. I am not sure what was going on at that time. I can't seem to find anything on it. Was strange.
Anyways it was a good time. Met some nice people and enjoyed some southern Michigan and norther Indiana scenery.
