RM Stator came up with a new type of regulator, in which they eliminated diodes. According to them, it runs much cooler and is much more reliable - army , racing etc. tested. Still patent pending, so they are a bit secretive about the finer details.
I just installed my SH847 from them, but ended up getting a set of this Revolt regulator plus a new stator (still in mail). Brand new start. So, this will go in place of the CNC machined red SH847. With the return and a discount it turned out pretty good, considering this is supposed to be the newest technology which outlasts and outperforms anything else out there. Bonus - lifetime warranty! Seems like I will be set and want have to worry about the charging anymore, except battery changes every few years. This should last me until me and my Vmax will stay together, and I can always use it on any of my other bikes.
What do you guys think?
