Hey guys, just looking through the thread here, and went to check my bike. Last 4 digits are 0102. Im about half done full resto , all stock. ( - braced swing arm )
Km speedo? Is it decided the Canadian bikes are numbered differently? In any event it is a very early one!

Yes, the speedo is in KM's. The used vehicle package said the bike came from NFLD originally.

I think we have learned that Canadian bikes are numbered independently of those in the USA but STILL yours is the second one built and sent north of the border and was perhaps built very close to the time the first ones were built for the US. A very early bike for sure! :clapping:

Hi, long-time reader, finally joined to post. I have 1985 #2048.
Originally burgundy, now black. It's had Kerker 4-into-2 pipes since the 90s, and a Stage 7 kit since about 2000. Fat back tire mod in 2003 or so, and now I have the Kosman Racing 17" rear wheel to mount as soon as I buy some front and rear radial tires to fit.
It's my daily driver bike, usually getting chosen even over the '99 Hayabusa that sits next to it in the garage.
