petroleum based carb cleaner

the clymer guide says to only use a petroleum based carb cleaner, i went to auto zone and they looked at me like i had 4 heads when i asked them if they carried it, what can i use to clean the carbs?

Any Advance/AutoZone/NAPA carb cleaner will do the job. Just don't bath the carbs in it, as it eats rubber. That's what I used for my carb cleaning.

i agree with Naughty......most carb cleaners have ptroleum based solvents.

actually ive never heard of a non petro based carb cleaner.
