Pickup coil woes !

Hi Guys n Girls,
Well my 97 max has died no spark and i have traced the fault to a faulty pickup coil.
Simple , but over here in the UK a replacment is over $300. Seems a lot of money for a pickup. Anybody got an alternative replacment ?
