First Generation 1985 Vmax – (Collectors: s/n – 0244!)

Was running last month and near ready for inspection but new starter clutch stopped grabbing :(

New parts:

Tires – Drilled/slotted Brake rotors and pads - Radiator hoses (silicone) - Battery (Sealed)

Fuel Pump - Throttle cables - LED Headlight bulb - LED Turn signals (front)

Horn (loud) - Carbs rebuilt (extra new carb rebuild set ready) – All Carb screws are stainless Allen-head

Side cover screws are now stainless Allen-head - Front brake and clutch master cylinder rebuilt

New Rear Brake master cylinder included - Gas tank cleaned (new gas level sensor included)

New premium oils and fluids all around

MANY extra parts including padded sissy bar

Will include vacuum gauge set and the original Yamaha tool kit 😊

Needs:

Starter clutch (just replaced but it didn’t last-bag of rocks again-will need to pull flywheel to replace this - you must be handy - but most here are.)

The parts are worth more - but she is so close to roadworthy - lowering the price to $2500 for one of the first VMaxes off the line!

With or with out the cobras...? Thanks Phil
Hah, Cobras are for looks, but hinder even OEM performance. That San Antonio bike is only 12K miles. Swap on an OEM exhaust and regain 15 RWHP.

This could be a decent buy for someone willing to do the starter clutch repair, if the bike is priced properly. (The O.P.'s bike). I hope he adds a price. He's throwing in some good parts & tools.

The parts are worth more - but she is so close to roadworthy - how does $2500 sound for one of the first VMaxes off the line? I can work with someone local to the Dallas area and I am moving soon, so she must find a new owner that can appreciate her.
