I'd like to get rid of the sluggish steering on my 'Max. Rather than lowering the front 1/4" - 1/2" I'd like to raise the rear with new shocks to 13.5" (.5" over stock).

Dropping the front will cause things to touch down sooner & would rather gain some cornering clearance at the same time.

My question is will raising the rear 1/2" cause more stress on the shaft drive? Has anyone done this to their bike?

Thanks!

RR

Yes people have done it. Try using ZRX1200 shocks if you like. They are 13.5"

Sounds VERY pricey... I bet it's great though. PCW does good work, but they tend to be slow.

Davidon has had quite a bit done by them.

My ohlins are 12.75 +/- .4 in but I added an extra length adjuster so I've got about 13.25 +/-.4. I have'nt see any issues.
