Good afternoon all. I currently in the market for a Vmax. Can anyone refer me a local person who is a specialist in working with Vmax? I'm in South Florida (West Palm Beach to be exact). I'd be interested in the normal upgrades (i.e. suspension, brakes, carb...) Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

is NG or 82nd cowboy down there? aren't there some other boys?

I'm assuming he's looking for someone to buy upgrades from? That wouldn't be me. I don't sell anything. I just ride em.

I'm just north of Orlando, NG commutes from Orlando to Tampa.
Closet one to West Palm, I think, would be Thadd Stevens and Bill Warner.
I know they sell after market stuff.

yea i meant more who lives down there who could help him get in touch with the right local people

I'm looking for some who knows how to do the out of the box upgrades, like doing upgrades to the brakes (what's needed and how to do it) and the suspension. When I go to my local dealers they just know what I can order for OEM.

Mike,

a lot of the stuff is just getting the right info/adapters. then u could save a shitload, learn and do it yourself. so many guys on the forum are always willing to help. could even maybe buy one a 12 pack and have 'em over to help ya with those items...

I'm living full-time in Orlando now. I'm not selling any upgrades (only old OEM parts from my spare bike LOL) but am definitely happy to help if you need fitting an upgrades.

The best person to talk to is Sean ([email protected]) - he knows ALL there is to know about upgrades and sells most of them too!

Yep, i'm available about any time. Shipping isn't all that expensive and most upgrades a guy can do it himself at home with basic hand tools. I can rebuild a Vmax engine with almost the tools included in the OEM toolkit.

Sean

Hmmm... mental note... put tool kit back on vmax.

The guys are right Warrior,
Sean will do you right on anything you need. And for the things he doesn't have, Gary on Mondak Motorsports has the best discount on oem parts and supplies.
As for someone doing the work for you, if your not inclined to do it your self. Then I would contact Thadd Stevens or Bill Warner. Both of them are great guys and know the MAX very well. And Kyle in Oldsmar is also a great guy to have work done if you need it.
Get ya a big cup of Java when you have some spare time, or any other beverage of your choosing, and spend some time researching what you would like to do in this forum.
THis is by far the best source of information of all things VMAX.
If it can be done to a MAX, it's been discussed in this forum, probably several times over.

People seemed to enjoy it so I am probably gonna do another tech day before long & can give you some pointers if your comfortable doing work yourself if not I will do work cheaper than the dealers around here.
