What method have you decided to use?

If you decide to use cleaning vinegar (6% or more) do not leave the low fuel sender in the gas tank! Replace it w/a temporary block-off plate.

So I’m my case this bike sat for 12 years.
There was still some fuel in the tank.
I’m using vinegar and baking soda and 88 1/4 washers. (100 come in the box, guessed I used 12 somewhere)
The sending unit was already broken from corrosion. I just cut the wires and stem off to make it easier.
4 washes later tank is clean and drying

Here in FL, if you don't immediately dry and at-least oil-coat the tank, it will flash-rust in a half-hour. You cannot attempt an 'air-dry' without it beginning to rust.
