unknown pipe-what brand?

I saw this and don't recognize it, the header pipes are missing. Who can inform me as to the manufacturer? It has a custom-made heat insulator 'elbow' on it, that was not part of the o.e.m. pipe design. It was done by a marine engineering business at the request of the owner after he burned his leg one too-many times.

Looks like it has some similarities to an early Marks 4-1.

Thank-you for the input, Sean, I figured you would have a good idea of whose it was. You can see there appear to be end-of pipe flat metal strips to anchor the header pipes in-place w/springs, I assume.
 
Definitely shares some characteristics of a marks system. Not the same as what I had but the centerstand tab, the way the can is fabbed and its mount, the tabs for the springs, and workmanship look similar.
