im thinking of lenghtening and bracing my vmax's swingarm over the winter.
i'd like to use a longer shaft off another yamaha instead of fabricating one.
does anyone have any info? xs? fjr?
obviously the shaft lenght difference would determine the swingarm lenght difference...
thanks

Not enough info there to answer your question but as far as my knowledge base goes, the Venture shaft is maybe a half inch longer and thus useless for a two or three inch stretch in the arm so in a nutshell, you are S.O.L. on finding a stock shaft to work. eBay will occassionally have lengthened shaft and Blue Ridge Sportmax and PCW have them custom made to your spec. Morley may have a few on hand.

i remember someone mentioning xs650, being 2.something longer, but i could be wrong...
getting a secondhand genuine item would be a cheapest way to go imo.

The Vstar 650 is 2 5/8th in longer if I remember measuring it correctly.
