To get away from the James Dean look I have attached a pic of my 1968 Triumph that I chopped in 1971. The hair is longer and this bike went very well.

xt 225 serow - yep, a yamaha. It was a great bike for hte island of Kauai with all the cane roads.

then had a

94 honda 600 vlx
80~ Honda Ascot
2001 sportster 883 upped to a 1205cc
92 vmax

all before the ripe old age of 30.... I'm looking to start buying and selling sportsters since it really paid to advertise mine well. People will sell to get rid of em, and pay a lot to get em... good economics.

Just wondering why you went form an 85, to an 86,then back to an 85??

was there somehting about the 86 you didn't like??

by the way I think the Magna's were bad ass...definatly a close second (IMO) to the Vmax...

WTF? You didn't like the Virago? Loved my 93 1100. Set of drag bars and drop the trees about half an inch and no other cruiser could keep up with me on winding roads.

To bad they are so ugly...:whistlin:

Square headlights in the open never did it for me for some reason... Put them in a cafe fairing like the CB700SC and I loved it... :confused2:

I know where there is a v65 for sale right now.I personally do not like it compared to my bike. But they did have their day.Really felt wierd to me.Kinda tall and long. The guy wants $3000.

1979 Kawasaki 1000 - Bought it used in 84/85 as an impulse buy after seeing a V-Max commerical. I couldn't afford anything back then, so this had to do. Mine was big, fast, heavy and ugly. Just the way I like my women. Just kidding..........
I think I gave to my brother who then sold it.

The Virago I didn't like because generally I don't like V-twins; it did have the most comfortable ride of all the bikes I owned tho'.

The reason I jumped around on model years so much was because I bought all these bikes used and usually kept them a couple of years and sold them.

I thought the Magna was freakin' beautiful back then, still like it but the styling hasn't stayed timeless like the Vmax which still looks good.

A lot of my friends think the Max is ugly too though.

Like my GrandDaddy used to say

"It's a good thing we don't all like exactly the same thing or your GrandMother would sure be tired"

I loved the KZ1000's, first bikes that REALLY caught my attention...
