3-4K will get you a NICE 1st generation VMAX nowadays, if you look hard enough. Prices are going down, and other than the spring "mark-up", I don't see the uptick lasting very long. Even the 2nd Gens are down in the 9K range. The day of the muscle bike may be over. Sad, but true.

It won't be complete until you get a Gen2 Dealer Poster. You know this, right? Should have bought the last one I had, Morley snagged it up instead! :biglaugh:

I do it twice a year, maybe 3 times this year. Best roads in the country!

Subway 2 or 3 times a week, close to work, relatively healthy and cheap. Wendys over McDonalds, BK is really going downhill, at least in my neck of the woods. We probably eat out at restaurants 5 times a week, eat out probably more than we eat at home. My wife works late and doesn't like to cook.

6K for a 2003 VMAX? Not on this planet. 300 miles, MAYBE. 3000 miles doesn't make THAT much of a difference in value. I think in this market, 4500 would be top dollar, and that's during the spring when somebody is out there actually looking for one. ALL muscle bikes are down, the V65's...

I hope the market comes back this spring too, but I'm not betting on it. Parting these bikes out is another exercise in futility, after the initial "high dollar" parts are gone, you'll have 85% of a parts bike sitting there for years. :bang head:
