    2015 VMAX purchase!

Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure check that out! :punk:

    Gen 2 windshield

It doesn't help much, but it does protect the gauges so it's worth it just for that. I think it's better than nothing, and I just couldn't get over the "look" of the bigger screens, I think this one is a good compromise.

    2015 VMAX purchase!

I'm not touching my exhaust or ECU until the one year warranty is expired, gives me a full year to get used to "only" having 175 HP. LOL! :biglaugh:

Good deal Kyle! Gosh, that melted bike just makes my heart drop! I would be DEVASTATED if my garage caught fire!

    2015 VMAX purchase!

First round of cosmetic upgrades, Boulevard windscreen, Yamaha factory backrest and rack, Joe Rocket tank bag, installed a new USB port for my phone charger, need to figure out where I'm going to mount the GoPro now. Leaving for the Dragon in 2 weeks!

    Back Seat Support?

Cool, just don't need any extra surprises like I got on the vibranators, I was cussing up a storm at that SOB. I also had my first lesson in getting to the battery, no less than 10 allen bolts need to come out to get that cover off, I installed a battery charger/USB port connector on my...

    Back Seat Support?

Any surprises when installing these items together? Like when I posted I was going to buy vibranators for my VMAX, only to find out the stock bar end plugs are IMPOSSIBLE to remove? LOL.

    Back Seat Support?

I don't know, but I just bought the exact same one and will be installing it this evening, when my rack that goes with it arrives. I'll take my daughter for a ride this evening and see how she likes it! :punk:

    Handlebar vibrations in Gen II?

That's pretty much my luck. I've given up at this point. Any suggestions on some good bars that will work with the Boulevard windscreen? :punk:

    Handlebar vibrations in Gen II?

Man, I must be retarded or they must have used some serious thread locker on the inserts. Are they threaded or just popped in there? Loctite at the factory maybe? Surely I'm not the first person to attempt to do this on a second gen, right? Hell, at this point, it might be easier to just...

    Handlebar vibrations in Gen II?

I found the instructions, got the plug extractor setup like in the pics, but I'm not getting anywhere fast. I don't want to strip out the factory threads, and I'm applying force to the insert, but the insides are not budging! If I thread much harder, something is going to give. :ummm:

    Handlebar vibrations in Gen II?

Yea, there's an extra "tool" piece that came with the kit, but I wasn't sure that's what it was for, the instructions don't really spell it out. So it's just a "plug" in there, no clip holding it in?

    Handlebar vibrations in Gen II?

How does it come out? I don't want to F this up. :ummm:

    Handlebar vibrations in Gen II?

I just got my vibranators in the mail and can't for the life of me figure out how the throttle side is supposed to go in there. I take the factory bar end out, and there's no "hole" there to insert the vibranator??? How do you get the "inner guts" of the bar out, that has the threaded section...

    2010 V-max red

It's all about timing, if this bike had been for sale 3 weeks ago at 10K, I probably would have bought it instead of the new 2015 I ended up with. Looks like a great deal for someone!!!!

    Gen 2 weight

There's no doubt it feels like a big bike, it is a big bike. But once you get going, it doesn't really translate into anything perceptible, at least not to me anyway. Feels a lot like a first gen until you really hammer on it. Refined POWER! :punk:

    Parts bike? Cheap....

Daggum, that thing is roached. Needs everything but tires. LOL. :punk:

What can y'all tell me about the V65 Magna

I've restored almost 50 V65 Magnas in the past 10 years, they are GREAT bikes! If not for the 1983 V65 Magna, the V-Max may not have been born. They are awesome cruisers, 6 speed, shaft drive, water cooling integrated INTO the frame, LCD gear indicator and temp gauges, electric fuel pump...
