    Help with oil change

My handlebars fall fast to the sides, I think it was loose for sure. I will be able to tell if steering bearings are bad or not. Just need to drive it. As for drain plug, just came back from Lowe's with a extractor. I will post results after dinner tonight. How important are little screws 4...

    Help with oil change

Well I did everything I could. Damn it, dummy that had this bike before me overtightened it to death. Vise Grips didn't help, now it's completely stripped. I have to buy extractors now, it sucks big time. First I'm getting air compressor to do the shotgun, idling on this bike is crap. Opened up...

    Help with oil change

I was thinking about making a groove in the bolt ,but didn't want to destroy it. Well, now I have to. I do have bolt in my rear differential that's with a magnet, could you explain why that question? Man it's too tight to play with bottom of this bike.

I'll get the vise grips tomorrow. If it fails, bolt extractor is my other choice. Thanx to all of you for replies.

    Help with oil change

Hopefully I'm turning the right way. From the right side of the bike, socket on the bolt and pushing towards the rear.

Damn, you guys are really great. I've never seen so much help on any forum before. It's just unbelievable. Yes Tech day sounds like a great idea. As for carbs on my bike, guy from St. Pete shop told me that they don't sound good, probably meaning dirty. As for my bike, it rides very good. I...

    New bike, new problem...

Hi there again guys, as on my post below my wheel is still shaking, but now as of tonight I got another problem. Just out of curiosity I opened up the air intake. Well that's when I realized that 4 rubber pieces covering the carbs were not connected at all to it. I just wonder how much of a dirt...

You guys are awesome. I will try to do my best with a friend of mine. I'll check all the nuts and bolts too. Yesterday I try to drive the bike, but something was wrong. You could not go into turns easy at all, check the front tire, seemed soft. Got home and checked Psi, now don't laugh guys, it...

Thank you guys for answering. I guess I'll have to take the bike to a local shop and check it out. You know how it's when you get something new. Don't want to leave it there, but safety first. Will post pics as soon as I get a chance.:clapping:

    1997 Vmax

New member here guys. Just got my Vmax 2 days ago. It's a 1997 with stage 7 jet kit and Supertrapp pipes. As most of you know, it sounds great. Love the bike, lot of power. Real fun to drive. The only problem is that if you let go of handlebars it starts to shake, maybe after 70 feet or so...
